Elveden Food Hallpril 2006 sees the opening of Gilbert’s Food Hall at Stowmarket. Located next tothe bistro at the museum the Food Hall will be a permanent site for customers to buy our products. As well as selling our farmers market range you will be able to buy:

 

Gilbert’s Range of Ready Meals

Gilbert's Ready Meals are handmade and packed full of fantastic raw material by our expert chefs. We believe in healthy eating, and use only the finest ingredients. Our goal is to accentuate the natural flavour of the food. We neither add sugar nor salt to our ready-meals, and where possible, our ready-meals are additive and preservative free. Following is just a sampling of the wide variety of dishes that we offer:

Beef Dishes - Steak, Red Wine and Suffolk Mushroom Casserole.
Lamb Dishes - Tender Lamb with Tomato and Olive.
Pork Dishes - Ham Carbonara Pasta Bake.
Game Dishes - Game with Red Wine and Cranberry Casserole.
Vegetarian Dishes - Spinach and Ricotta Cannelonni.
Fish Dishes - Salmon with a fresh herb crust.
Shellfish Dishes - Scallop and White Wine Pasta Bake.
Children's Dishes - Meatballs and Tomato Sauce.
Desserts - Chocolate Junkyards.
 

British Cheese Counter

We have sourced a range of delicious cheeses to showcase how many good products  we have in this country. From the very local Suffolk Gold to the infamous Stinking Bishop. If you are looking for the best stilton in the world we have Colston Basset to the dinner party favourite Cornish Yarg wrapped in nettles. Pop in for a taster!

All the produce in the shop as been either made by us or we have selected it from small producers we have met at farmers markets or have a similar ethos to our own.

  • Or source from small local producers.
  • Raw materials are also of local supply and high quality.
  • Products are all handmade as we use people rather than machines.
  • We cover a wide range of tastes.
